On the 1st of August 2015, the latest generation of Mitsubishi Pajero Sport SUV was launched. Production started almost immediately with the first models going on sale as 2016 Pajero Sport year models around the globe. Here in South Africa, two model variants were made available, namely the Pajero Sport 2.4L DI-DC 8-speed A/T 4X2 and the Pajero Sport 2.4L DI-DC 8-speed A/T 4X4. The Pajero Sport defines elegance, spaciousness, practicality and safety; all the ingredients for an exquisite and capable off-roader for the avid adventure-seeker or the entire family. Both are powered by the 2.4-litre MIVEC turbo diesel engine linked to an eight-speed automatic transmission delivering 133 kW and 430 Nm at 2500 rpm. The four-wheel-drive gives you the SuperSelect II system, Hill Descent Control and four off-road modes for gravel, sand, mud/snow and rock. On the inside you will find the following: 8-inch touchscreen infotainment with Apple and Android compatibility Dual-zone climate control with rear vents Cruise control Driver’s seat with electric lumbar support Multi-function steering wheel Power Tilt & Sliding Sunroof Since safety comes first with Mitsubishi, the Pajero Sport Aspire and Exceed are no exception. They have reinforced impact safety measures, ABS and EBD, seven airbags and ISOFIX anchors, active stability and traction control, brake assist, hill start assist and dusk-sensing headlights. In addition to the above, the Pajero Sport Aspire 4×4 AT received a black radiator grill, black roof with roof rails, rear spoiler, black lower front and rear bumper, and 18″ black alloy wheels. The Pajero Sport Exceed 4×4 AT offers much of the same but it does come with power tilt and sliding sunroof, Mitsubishi remote control connectivity, electronic tailgate with dual kick sensors. Updates to the Pajero Sport range
